July 16, 2015 – Prague based pianist, composer, arranger and producer Beata Hlavenková has won top honors in the Concept Album category for Theodoros in The 14th annual Independent Music Awards (IMAs).

Top honors awarded to this year’s exceptional, international mix of musicians and visual artists in more than 80 Album, Song, EP, Music Producer, Design and Music Video categories were culled from nominated projects announced earlier this year. The Winners were determined by a blue-ribbon panel of recording artists, talent buyers, producers & media including Sharon Jones, Amanda Palmer, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Lila Downs, Chris & Oliver Wood, Shelby Lynne, Jane Monheit, Lunice, Raul Midon, Suzanne Vega, Melissa Auf der Maur, Meshell Ndegeocello, Arturo Sandoval, Judy Collins, Adam Agee, Weird Al Yankovic, Nathan Currin, Deon Rexroat Jonathan Stengard, Bernie Worrell, John Mandeville and Dennis Diken among industry panelists including Anthony DeCurtis, Terry McBride, Jason Olaine, Bob Ludwig, Benji Rogers and others. Online Fan Voting Will Determine The 14th IMA Vox Pop Winners

More than 300 nominated projects from Australia, Belgium, Brazil, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Canada, Colombia, England, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, India, Israel, Japan, Latvia, Mali, Norway, Peru, Portugal, Russia, Scotland, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan, Tibet and United States are still in the running for the coveted Vox Pop Awards, the fan-determined portion of The IMAs. Bios, music and images for all artists nominated in IMA Album, EP, Song, Design and Music Video categories are available at the IMA site.

Music fans have until midnight, Friday, September 11th to discover new artists and champion their favorites at www.IndependentMusicAwards.com/imanominee/14th. The results will be announced soon after. To date, more than 37,000 votes from around the world have been cast in support of IMA Nominees.
